Annc: Homework set – building to project work.

Starter: 
What is truth? Give an example.
What is beauty? Give an example.
What truth or beauty are you trying to convey in this piece of writing.

Pairs:  Find child’s drafts.
Students read each other’s child’s drafts, and try to predict the truth or beauty the author is getting at.

Critique Sign Up: On board

Homework: for each text
1. Focus is on content over proofreading for now
2. Circle a part of the text that gets at something true or beautiful and explain why you circled it.
3. Underline a part of the text that needs refinement and explain in detail what needs to be refined and why. (This is not optional.  If the text seems solid to you, find a way they could make it even more true or beautiful.)   
4. Respond to the author’s question.
